Refunds and cancellation
Version of 10 October 2026
Draft. This document has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change before launch. Values in square brackets will be filled in later.
In short: before you pay, you get a free 7-day Pro trial with no card, and after you pay the results guarantee applies, so payments made are non-refundable. We refund only in three cases: an annual subscription if the service stops because Meta closes access to the Threads API, if we ourselves stop the service, and when the law requires a refund. You can cancel or pause your subscription at any time, and it stays active until the end of the paid period.
This is a translation. The Ukrainian version prevails where legally relevant.
1. Who takes payments and issues refunds
Paid plans are sold by our payment partner Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), which acts as the seller (Merchant of Record). It takes the payment, issues the VAT invoice and, where a refund is possible, makes it. In addition to this page, the Paddle buyer terms and the Paddle refund policy apply to your payment.
2. Try it for free first
After you connect a Threads account, you get a 7-day Pro trial for free, with no card required. The trial starts when you first connect Threads and is given once per Threads account. During these days, you see real posts from people looking for a service in your niche and city, and you decide whether you need a paid plan. Nothing is charged during the trial, because we do not have your payment details. If you do not choose anything, your account moves to the Free plan. If you pay earlier, the remaining trial days are added to your paid period.
Results guarantee. If Hukny finds fewer than 5 posts in your searches from people looking for a service during your first paid month, the next month is free. Condition: on at least 20 days of that month, you had at least one active search with Threads connected (we count the days on which at least one of your searches was actually checked). You don't need to ask: shortly before renewal we check it ourselves, move your next charge back by a month and let you know in Telegram. On an annual plan, your next yearly charge moves back by a month. Applies once per customer, to your first subscription only, and only if at the time of the check it is active: not cancelled and with no cancellation scheduled, not paused and with no pause scheduled, and with no unpaid invoice. Details are in the Terms of Service, section 7a.
3. When payments are not refunded
Your paid plan is activated immediately after payment. Payments made are therefore non-refundable: the first payment, monthly and annual renewals, and the extra charge for moving to a higher plan. In particular, there is no refund if you:
- changed your mind or stopped using the service after paying;
- forgot to cancel your subscription before the next renewal;
- found fewer posts or clients than you expected (for the first paid month, the results guarantee applies instead of a refund: the next month is free);
- cancelled your subscription or moved to a lower plan in the middle of a paid period.
The unused part of a paid period is not refunded, but it is not lost either: your plan stays active until the end of the period.
4. When a refund is possible
Refunds are made only in these cases:
- Annual subscriptions, if Meta closes access to the Threads API. If the service stops working because Meta has ended or substantially restricted access to the Threads API, and we cannot restore the service within 14 days, we refund the pro-rata share of the annual payment for the full unused months from the day the service stopped. In that case, a monthly subscription simply does not renew.
- We decide to stop the service (see section 9).
- The law requires it, under the law that applies to you as a buyer.
There are no other refund cases.
5. Right of withdrawal in the EU and the UK
Consumers in the EU and the UK can generally withdraw from an online contract within 14 days. For digital services, this right does not apply if you agreed to immediate access at checkout and started using the service. Your paid plan is activated immediately after payment, so once you start using it, this right no longer applies. All other mandatory consumer rights granted by the law of the country where you live remain unaffected.
6. How to request a refund
- Write to us on Telegram at @hukny_support or at hello@hukny.app from the e-mail address your account is registered with. Describe what happened: the payment date and, if the service was not working, when and what exactly.
- We will look into it and reply, usually the same day. If a refund is possible, Paddle will process it. The money is returned by the same method you paid with, usually within 5-10 business days depending on your bank.
- You can also contact Paddle directly using the link in your invoice e-mail or at paddle.net.
7. How to cancel or pause your subscription
- In your dashboard, open the "Plan" section and click "Cancel subscription". No e-mails, no calls, just two clicks. You can skip the single "why" question.
- Or open the Cancel subscription page (linked at the bottom of every page): there you can cancel without signing in, by entering your account e-mail.
- After cancelling, you immediately see a confirmation with the request number, the date and time we received it and the date until which your plan stays active. We also send the same confirmation to you in Telegram and to your account e-mail.
- Instead of cancelling, you can pause your subscription for 1, 2 or 3 months: billing stops after the end of the paid period, and then the subscription resumes by itself at the same price (and you keep the founding price).
- The subscription stays active until the end of the paid period: until that date, everything works as it does now, and there are no further charges. After that, your account moves to the Free plan, and your searches and settings are kept.
- Changed your mind before the end of the period? Click "Resume subscription" in the same place.
- A move to a lower plan, or from annual to monthly billing, also takes effect at the end of the paid period; until then, you keep your current plan.
8. Deleting an account with an active subscription
If you delete your account, your subscription is cancelled immediately, and the unused paid period is not refunded. To keep using your plan until the end of the period, cancel the subscription first and delete the account later.
9. If we stop the service
If we stop providing the service, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused paid period. If the service stops because Meta has closed access to the Threads API, the rule in section 4 applies: a pro-rata refund for annual subscriptions. More details are in the Terms of Service.
